Instructors at Plymouth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy have made my son Simon strive and reach his potential each week. Because of this, he has become highly focused and a very tough competitor, winning multiple tournaments within his age group. As a father, I'm very happy to see my son improve since the day he started at the Academy. He loves the sport, competes successfully, and increased his confidence. Simon has gained so much from the Academy. It has positively affected his character in addition to his jiu-jitsu practice. His skills are a result of an influence by all of his coaches/instructors—very unique. Thanks to all the coaches. As a parent, I appreciate the skills and dedication you have showed Simon.

I’ve been training at Plymouth Badger Style Jiu-Jitsu for the last 5 years. The instruction from our head instructor Juan Vazquez is easy to understand yet detailed and highly effective. The step by step instruction is always followed up with the concepts, so that you’re not just learning moves but the reasons behind them and the many options that may follow. The environment in the academy is always friendly with a wide a range of people with different backgrounds that are always willing to help and push you to get better. I definitely recommend training there. I also have my three kids train there as well.

What I like about Jiu-Jitsu is that it’s physically challenging and requires strength and mastering techniques to accomplish the satisfaction of winning, and getting better. I’ve always enjoyed wrestling with my friends, and love the “one-on-one” competition…They make training seem like hanging out with your friends. But they also challenge you to do your personal best. And that’s what I like about Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.
